SYMPHYTUM 'RUBRUM'
SYMPHYTUM 'RUBRUM'
Symphytum 'Rubrum' is a robust perennial comfrey with clusters of striking red flowers that bloom over a long season, from April to August. It grows to around 50cm tall and spreads quickly, making it a good fit for wilder corners of the garden where it can roam freely.
With its coarse, hairy foliage and vigorous nature, it’s best suited to wildlife-friendly or naturalistic planting schemes, where containment isn’t a concern. Potentially invasive, but excellent for ground cover, pollinators, and a bit of wild flair.
