MELANOSELINUM DECIPIENS

MELANOSELINUM DECIPIENS

Melanoselinum decipiens, also called Madeiran Giant Parsley, is a stunning architectural plant that reaches heights of 3 metres or more. With its large, lacy foliage and umbrella-like flower heads, it brings a bold presence to the garden. Unlike giant hogweed, this non-stinging species is safe to handle, making it an excellent alternative for bold planting schemes.

This short-lived perennial thrives in sun or part shade and prefers moist but well-drained soil. Perfect for tropical, exotic, or wildlife-friendly gardens, it adds drama and structure while attracting pollinators. Also known by its synonym, Thapsia decipiens.
