| Description | It forms short, neat fans of foliage to around 20cm, with rich deep blue flowers carried close above the leaves in spring. The restrained height and dark flower colour give it a markedly different character from the larger garden bearded irises. Well suited to sunny, sharply drained planting where its compact habit can be appreciated. |
