Enormous velvet-piled leaves up to 40cm. wide in cool moist shaded positions. Large perfumed heads of white lacecap flowers with a flush of blue-mauve in the central unbracted flowers - blue stamens, purple filaments and ovary, Jul-Aug, 2-4m. Moist shade best.
