GUNDELIA TOURNEFORTII
GUNDELIA TOURNEFORTII
Gundelia tournefortii is a truly eye catching and architectural perennial, forming a squat, spreading mound of fiercely spiny yellow green foliage. From July to September, it sends up rounded heads of thistle like yellow flowers, loved by pollinators and gardeners with a taste for the unusual.
This Middle Eastern native thrives in poor, well drained soils and dry, sunny sites. Ideal for gravel gardens, dry meadows, or xeric borders, just keep it away from soggy ground.
