CYRTANTHUS ELATUS
Also known as the Scarborough Lily (formerly Vallota), Cyrtanthus elatus is a charming cottage garden plant that’s both easy and prolific. From August to November, it produces superb vermilion trumpet flowers atop upright stems, reaching around 40cm in height.
Perfect for a sunny windowsill in winter or outdoors from spring to autumn, this South African native is low-maintenance and rewarding.
Synonym: Cyrtanthus speciosus.
