CYDONIA OBLONGA 'VRANJA'

Culinary quince. Shapely tree to 5m, nice downy louche foliage, large white flowers May, large scented yellow pear-shaped fruits. Pick before they fall in early Oct and the scent develops. Flavour an apple pie or make heavenly orange & quince marmalade.
