Clusters of red-purple flowers on thick stems develop in clusters in the rosette and mature as the single stem elongates, May-Jul, 75cm. Impressive silvery rosettes often tinged pinkish-red in the centre. Wasatch Plateau, Emery Co., UT. 9175'.
