FAQs

How do I grow pelargoniums successfully in the UK?

Light & Soil: They prefer full sun to partial shade and thrive in free-draining, stony or open compost

Planting: Plant out after the risk of frost (typically in May), acclimatising them gradually

Watering & Feed: Water when the topsoil is dry and feed monthly with a balanced or potassium-rich feed during flowering

How do I propagate pelargoniums?

Stem cuttings: Take in late summer to early spring, root in soil or water, transplant after frost risk passes

Seeds: Grow scented-leaf types from seed in spring, though cuttings are more reliable
