A haven for plant enthusiasts and garden lovers alike; nestled on the fringe of the picturesque Cotswolds, our story began in 1990 when Bob Brown purchased an acre of land in Badsey, with a vision that blossomed far beyond its initial purpose. Today, in partnership with his son Edmund Brown, Bob has cultivated one of the largest collections of plants for sale in Europe, all in one stunning location.

Our Expertise

With over 80 years of combined specialist plant knowledge, Bob and Ed bring unparalleled expertise to the world of horticulture. Bob, a renowned plantsman, has introduced and discovered many well-known cultivars, contributing extensively to the horticultural community. His encyclopedic knowledge is shared through guest speaking engagements and regular contributions to the Which? grading magazine. Bob's dedication to the advancement of horticulture has earned him prestigious accolades, including the Gold Veitch Memorial Medal.

Ed Brown, continuing the legacy, has amassed a National Collection of Sambucus and is known for breeding new hybrids. His work has even been showcased on TV. Ed's passion led to the creation of Just Must perennials, supplying plug plants to trade, with select lines available to the public through our website.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to the environment, harvesting rainwater for all our watering needs and ensuring that all our compost and planting practices are peat-free.
